The Gaffers Eclectic winter 2011/12 competition was recently completed and prizes were presented at the Texas Scramble lunch at Woody’s Café Bar on the 18th April.

Chris Dickenson took the ladies best gross on count back from Sue Lyons, who picked up the best nett, both had grossed 69.

In the men's section, Steve Barnett won the Mike Robins Cup for the second year running with the best gross of 59, from Jeremy Simpson and Alec Cresswell both on 60, Keith Gaston-Parry, also with a gross 60, took the best nett prize.

Unfortunately, the Texas Scramble had to be called off due to inclement weather and the reluctance of the Gaffers to brave the rain. The draws for the annual matchplay knockout competitions were made before the Gaffers were able to sit down and enjoy the first buffet lunch of the year.
